Safety Disclaimer

All products being sold on HobbyGalaxy.com are intended for Adult Collectors. They are not toys for children. These products may contain sharp points, small parts, choking hazards, adult themes and other elements not suitable for children under 16 years old.

By placing order with us, the customer (you) agrees that

  1. The customer (you) is at least 16 years old.
  2. The customer assumes full responsibility of ensuring the proper use of the product.

Warranty

HobbyGalaxy.com does NOT provide or endorse any kind of warranty on products being sold. Some products may come with extended warranty from the manufacturer. Please check directly with the manufacturer for details. If you need to return a defective product, please refer to the Return and Refund policy section below. [Top]

 

Pre-order

Pre-order options and payment

Depending on the product, a pre-order option may have to be selected first before an order can be placed. Simply click the desired option rectangle (located above the "PRE-ORDER NOW" button) and proceed to the next step.

If the selected option states that down payment is not refundable, then when a customer later decides to cancel the order, the down payment already paid WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. This is to protect us from the pre-orders system being abused.

When the product is in stock (or its arrival is imminent), we will send out an invoice through Paypal for any balance due (for example, if a customer put down 10% for pre-order and did not pay for shipping upfront, then she/he will receive an invoice for 90% of the product price plus shipping). Payment needs to be received within two weeks after the invoice is sent. if no payment is received, the pre-order will be canceled and the down payment will NOT be refunded.

*In the rare case that we can not fulfill your pre-order (e.g. production is cancelled by the manufacturer), all your payment (regardless which option you chose) will be fully refunded.

Flexible Payment Arrangement

If you prefer to pay off the balance over time instead of one lump sum, please contact us after placing the order. We will send you an invoice for the balance due with a due date the same as the estimated product release date. The invoice will allow partial payment of any amount made at any time. Simply keep revisiting the invoice email and make payment through the link in the email. You can pay off the invoice at your own pace by the due date.

Estimated available/release date

This is a rough estimate provided by the supplier. There is no guarantee that they will always hit the date, and the date can CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE, which we have no control over. Therefore please do not take the date literally, it is meant to indicate the approximate range of time during which the product may arrive. If the item did not arrive as expected, we cannot be held responsible and would ask for your understanding and patience. Customers are welcomed to contact us anytime to get update on her/his order or a particular item.

Ordering multiple items

**If ordering multiple items together, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to select the "Only pay shipping when the order is ready to ship" shipping option, because the system is not very good at calculating combined shipping, selecting this option can avoid overpaying (or underpaying) for shipping upfront.

However, there are a few rules regarding order combination:

  • Up to three items can be put into one order.
  • To qualify for combined shipping, all items in one order must have an estimated arrival date in the same quarter. If the items are not arriving in the same month then they will be shipped separately even if they were ordered together.
  • If an order qualifies for combined shipment, we will wait till everything in the order has arrived and ship the complete order in one consolidated shipment. If a customer wishes to ship part of the order sooner, please contact us to make arrangement. Please note that there may be additional shipping charge for splitting order.

Cancel Order

Cancelling order is simple and painless. Send us the request through email and provide order details such as order #, date, and content, then as long as the item has not been shipped, we should be able to cancel your order and fully refund your payment. However, there are two exceptions:

  1. For pre-orders, if you've selected a pre-order option that says down payment is not refundable, you can still cancel your order, but your down payment for the product price WILL NOT BE REFUNDED (nor can it be transferred to a new order). This is to protect us from the pre-order system being abused. If shipping and tax are paid, we will convert the amount into store credit.
  2. If we had made special arrangement (for example place a special order with the supplier) to fulfill your order, and the additional effort had been communicated to and approved by you prior to placing the order, then we cannot cancel the order.

Please understand that canceling pre-orders can be devastating to our business, because it will cause unexpected inventory and tie up our funds。 Therefore, if a person repeatedly orders and cancels then we may have to terminate his/her account and stop accepting order from this person.

Package Condition

All items being sold (unless specified otherwise) on HobbyGalaxy.com are brand new products. They are in factory packaging and often come with manufacturer seal. However, we do not guarantee the packaging will be free of minor wear or damage. If an item is returned solely due to the condition of packaging, the return shipping costs will be paid by the customer. [Top]

 

Return, Replace and Refund

If you need to return an item, please read the policies below and contact us first to obtain return approval. 

Unopened items

You may return an unopened item within 30 calendar days after delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay for the return shipping if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item, etc.), otherwise you are responsible for return shipping and the original shipping will not be refunded. The unopened item must have all its original packaging (shrink wrap, paper wrap, seal, tape, box, blister, marketing material, etc.) intact and undamaged.

Opened items

An opened item can be returned within 30 calendar days after delivery ONLY if it has major defect (parts broken off, missing component, electronic parts not working etc.). We will be more than happy to pay for the return shipping and issue refund or send you a replacement if it is desired. Once an item has been opened, we CAN NOT accept return for any other reason.

Damaged items (during transit)

In the rare case an item is damaged during transit. It is up to the customer (you) to document the damage and file claim with the carrier or post office. All items will be insured for damage prior to shipping.

Replacement

If there is still inventory available, we will send the replacement promptly AFTER the item qualified for return has been received by us.

Refund

Full product price including any tax will be refunded if an unopened item or an opened item (defective or wrong item, see above) is returned. If the return is due to our mistake (wrong item), the original shipping will also be refunded, otherwise the original shipping will not be refunded because we already paid the carrier.

In most cases, the refund will be issued in the original form of payment (credit card, Paypal, etc.). If for some reason the refund cannot be issued in the original form (for example the credit card is canceled), then it will be issued as a Paypal payment, in which case the customer needs to have a Paypal account in order to receive the money. Another option is to convert the refund into store credit for future use.

You should expect to receive your refund up to four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund almost instantly after your request is approved. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Most in stock items will be shipped within two business days after an order is placed, unless specified otherwise on the item page. Once an order is shipped, the customer will receive a shipment notice with tracking information.

The easiest way to get shipping quote is by checking out an item as a guest (no buying obligation). Just put an item in the shopping cart and check out without registering an account. After you put in your shipping address, the system will calculate the cost and provide shipping options. As long as you don't finish the process, you won't be charged.

If you prefer to pay for shipping upfront, please understand the shipping quotes presented are our best estimates at the moment, but the actual shipping costs may be different. If the difference is significant, we may need to ask for more (if the shipping is underpaid) or issue a refund (if the shipping is overpaid) when the order is ready. Typically when we put up a new product for pre-order, we do not know the weight and dimensions of the final package. We will have to make an educated guess based on past experience of handling similar products. Usually our estimate is fairly accurate, but from time to time it can be way off, thus the need to adjust the shipping costs.

If you do not want to pay for shipping upfront, please select the shipping option "Only pay shipping when the order is ready to ship", then we will add shipping to the final invoice. Unless you leave order comment to specify the shipping option you prefer, we will invoice you for the cheapest shipping option available.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Due to system issue, we cannot ship to APO/FPO/DPO address. Please provide an actual physical address for shipment. Any order placed using an APO/FPO/DPO address will be canceled. 

Changing address:

If you need to change the ship-to address after an order is made, please send request to us ASAP with the new address. If you log into your account and change the address, it will simply add to your address book and the new address WILL NOT be reflected on your orders automatically. This is because a customer could have different address for different order, and the calculated shipping cost will be different, therefore the system will not update the open orders automatically. Address change has to be done manually by our staff. 

Some other important issues you need to be aware:

  • For shipment that has a value over $200, a signature from someone in the receiving address upon delivery is mandatory, unless the customer gives specific instruction to remove the signature requirement when placing the order. This is done to protect both the customer and us in case of lost shipment.
  • Shipment consolidation through FedexDue to system issue, Fedex is currently not configured to consolidate shipment for multiple items. Therefore if you are buying more than one item and wish to consolidate them, please choose a shipping method other than FedexIf You still prefer to use Fedex for consolidation, please check out each item INDIVIDUALLY. We will try to consolidate your shipment, and refund/credit you the extra shipping you've paid. If you check out multiple items all at once using Fedex as the shipping method, you may get additional invoice from us for the actual shipping cost.
  • Using non-trackable shipping service. Most of the shipping methods are trackable. However in the case of international shipments, the USPS First Class Parcel/Package Service may not be trackable once the package leaves the US border. Please be aware you are using this service at your own risk. We can provide proof of shipment, but cannot provide proof of delivery. If the package fails to reach you, we cannot be held responsible, and it's up to you to file claim with the shipping company/post office.

Notes on international shipping: 

  • For all international orders, we charge a flat handling fee (not shipping) of $6.00 per order, regardless the size of the order.
  • The customer (you) is responsible for any import tax or customs tariff.
  • We are required to declare the full value of the item for customs purpose. [Top]
